There is no specific rationale or consciousness behind my work. Nor is there any particular relationship. I juxtapose various figures and creatures, objects and icons within a certain framework to arrive at a compositional whole. I am not suggesting or conveying any message. I am not suggesting or conveying any particular message or narrative. Viewers may read and interpret my work as they perceive it.
My work is rooted in the surreal and the fantastic. It is influenced by my background in architecture, my interest in music, especially jazz and my experience of various cultures, east and west. My intent is to produce images which evoke wonder, surprise and amusement.
