GYPSY is the ultimate story about an over-zealous stage mother. Join Rose and her daughters June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when Vaudeville was dying and Burlesque was born. Mama Rose lives to see her daughter June succeed on Broadway by way of Vaudeville. When June marries and leaves, Rose turns her hope and attention to her older, less obviously talented daughter, Louise. However, having her headlining as a stripper at Minsky's Burlesque is not what she initially has in mind.
