Embrace Entertainment is launching a new concert series featuring 10 plus acts that are Vancouver Island based and highlight the diversity of the Island's own musical culture. The 'Ultimate Indie' Concert Series 1 celebrates Spring Break 2010 and welcomes all ages. It is a alcohol-free event to promote a secure environment for families and youth.
From ska-reggae to dj mix, the 'Ultimate Indie' Concert Series 1 promises to be an affordable night, with advanced tickets priced at $39.50 featuring 10 plus bands including "Guess What Peter Did", "Current Swell", MCM, DJ Souls, The Scale Breakers, Brave New Waves, The Naked DJ's, Terrell Safadi, C.F.C., Christopher Robin Band, Broken Logic, Konfidential, ToneofVoyce and Sirreal. Headlining the night is TechN9ne, the #1 independent artist in the entire world, unsigned by any label. Having sold over one million records world wide, TechN9ne tops the charts on myspace and record downloads on itunes.
Not only will the event host incredible, Island music but kicking off the night will be a Skate and BMX Street Comp at 5:15 pm and will have guest appearances highlighting a children's choir, first nations fusion-dancing, dance teams and more - all celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the Island and BC.
Tickets are now on sale in Victoria, Nanaimo, the Comox Valley and Campbell River at music and skate shops, and will be available at the Saratoga Raceway gates for $55 on the day of. Partial proceeds are going to the John Howard Society to help youth in crisis and complimentary tickets are being distributed through JHS on the Island to assist under priviledged youth and families.
