A session is how the Irish call a group of folks playing traditional music on traditional instruments. This often includes fiddles, tin whistles, flutes, uilleann pipes, guitars, mandolins, bouzouki, accordion, concertina, bodhran.
Our local session includes more than just Irish tunes, we play Canadian, American, Scottish, Eastern European and other kinds of tunes.
The Kitchen Party is a Newfoundland Tradition of combining a bit of tunes with a bit of singing and the odd bit of Step-dancing thrown in.
