Wilton-Broad Players Premiere at YPDG Spring Variety of One Act Plays and Music
“The Morticians or How to Make a Dime on Another Man’s Dime” written by Richard P Broad

How do you put some zing into the start of spring? You can start with coming out to Yellow Point Drama Groups (YPDG) Spring Variety of One Act Plays and Music, March 19, 20, 26 & 27. The Moriticians is the 3rd play of the evening being proceeded by a musical performance by Mary Murphy on the 19 &20 (dinner theatre night)and Sarah Wood 26 & 27 to kick off the performance of the three one act plays. The first play of the evening, Closet Madness written by Murray Schisgal , directed by Barrie Baker will be followed by Two Crooks and a Lady written by Eugene Pillot, directed by Armando dos Santos.
The third play will be the Premiere playing of "The Morticians or How to Make a Dime on Another Man's Demise"written by Richard Broad of the Wilton- Broad Players and Produced by Meldy Wilton for the YPDG.
The play is expertly portrayed by Michael Hamper as "Bartholomew" the sophisticated, yet devious mortician, and Vincent Wells as"Cyril" "a low life scum" of a mortician, sparring to secure the recently demised client's business played by Albert Seibold, a black comedy that includes taking us through darkness of character, a fight scene and a few timely laughs.
The Wilton-Broad Players were recently awarded Best Over all Play; Best Actress Award (Evelyn Applin) and Best Director Award went to Meldy Wilton, in the Vancouver Island One Act Play Festival for 2009 with their entry of Parlour Games script by Brian March.
Don’t miss out seeing a great musical performance by local musicians followed by three very distinct One Act Plays; including the Premiere of “The Morticians” at Cedar Hall, 2388 Cedar Road, (Across from the grave yard…) For reservations call 250 722 3067, Tickets available at the door while they last.
