Duncan Frater concludes his last performance as conductor with the Cowichan Consort Orchestra and Choir for 9 years, in this moving concert of Karl Jenkins' Stabat Mater for choir and orchestra and Poulenc's piano concerto featuring 15 year old prodigy Matthew Stubbs from Saltspring Island. Dvorak Slavic Dances will be presented as well. Cari Burdett and Terry Harrison, vocalists, solo in the Jenkins. Mr Frater will be leaving to work in Victoria full time. After the huge success of Karl Jenkins's The Armed Man- Mass of Peace last spring, the choir and orchestra were urged to present another of this popular Welsh composer's works.
