Step back in time and learn about many of the Comox Valley’s early settlers at St. Andrew’s Church & Cemetery Tea on Saturday, July 22. Established in 1873, St. Andrew’s Church is one of the oldest Anglican Church’s north of Nanaimo, and its cemetery provides the final resting place for many of the valley’s original settlers.

Join us for tea and scones and listen to the stories of five pioneer families, two of which will be told by local historians Lawrence Burns and Judy Hagen. After the tea, everyone is welcome to stroll throughout the historic cemetery where you will be amazed at how many names you will recognize.

This event is presented by St. John the Divine and is a fundraiser for St. Andrew’s Church. St. Andrew’s has limited seating so there will be two seatings offered, 10 am or 2 pm. Tickets are $15 and available through St. John the Divine Church. Get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and Cemetery is located at the bottom of Mission Hill, at the corner of the North Island Hwy and Dingwall Road.

Parking is available at the church, or on the side streets or near the cenotaph at the end of Back Road.
