Soar with Ballet Kelowna as we present four uplifting, powerful and romantic Canadian choreographed ballet works. Inspired by the beautiful sonnets of Shakespeare, Ballet Kelowna’s Artistic Director David LaHay debuts “In Arden Woods” with music that was specifically composed for Ballet Kelowna by pianist Arnold Draper. Reflect in the beauty of Bach’s Cello Suite with a new “Le Banc” ballet by guest choreographer Paul Destrooper, Artistic Director of Ballet Victoria. By contrast, swing with the earthy, jazzy blues of Vicki St. Denys’ “Indigo Moods” and delight in the classic beauty of the Pas de Trois, Swan Lake.

Ballet Kelowna’s mission statement is “to inspire, educate and entertain through the energy and artistry of ballet”. This proudly Made in Kelowna professional dance company is now entering its 7th Season of presenting its own signature ‘inno-classical’ style that features both classical and innovative, modern ballets. Named ‘BC Touring Artist of the Year in 2008’, Ballet Kelowna will be touring to 40 communities in the 09/10 Performance Season.
