Come and listen to one of Nanaimo's most interesting musical presentations. "Theo's Trio" is Theo Massop along with Kevin Greenhough on acoustic bass guitar and Dean Doyle on cajon ( a South American rhythm box ). The combination of acoustic guitars, vocals and Dean, the Keith Moon of cajon paints a unique audioscape for Theo's blend of roots rock. Songs from Theo's previous releases which have played on CBC and community radio across Canada, earning chart numbers along the way, are included in the show along with songs from artist as diverse as Leonard Cohen to Chuck Berry! Current songs and classics, tunes from John Hiatt and Steve Earle are played along side The Who and Cage the Elephant.
The Red Martini Grill is a great place to gather your friends for a night of "meet, eat and enjoy the beat" when Theo's Trio is in town. Call for dinner reservations or just pop on down. A fantastic setting and even some room to dance!
