Salish Sea Floor-to-Shore EcoTour

Explore the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre with a marine biologist, and then cruise with other enthusiastic explorers around the Gulf Islands witnessing up close the abundant marine life that lives on the Salish Sea – from sea birds to seal pups. The three-hour EcoTour includes a one-hour guided tour of the Centre, a two-hour EcoCruise, a picnic lunch, a Gulf Islands visitor’s guide, a Salish Sea guidebook, and a seasons pass for EcoCruising with visitors. The EcoTour is offered on Saturdays in July, August and September.

Whale Watching on the Salish Sea

Explore the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, and then embark on a Salish Sea whale watching excursion. See the travelling route and feeding grounds of grey, minke, humpback and transient killer whales. The route will take you to Boundary Pass, an area with the largest porpoise concentration in the world, and along beautiful, untouched beaches that are home to seals, sea lions, otters, bald eagles and other marine birds. Whale Watching includes a self-guided tour of the Ocean Discovery Centre and a picnic lunch (optional). Excursions embark every Saturday in July and August.
