Island Consort Chamber Choir presents Music as Through a Kaleidoscope.
The program will include rich and varied repertoire from choral music of the Late Renaissance - Palestrina and John Dowland - to late 20th Century music of Arvo Part and Morten Lauridsen. The Dowland madrigals will be accompanied by guitarist, Charles Wolzien who will also play a set of guitar solos. String players from the Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra will accompany the choir on 3 works, by Rheinberger, Buxtehude and Mozart. The second half will feature art songs from the 19th and 20th Centuries. Admission is $15 at the door.
