Honey Extracting Demonstration & Honey Tasting

Join us at the Harbour House Hotel, Restaurant and Organic Farm on Thursday June 20th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for a free demonstration. This year�s spring honey crop will be uncapped, spun in a hand-cranked centrifugal extractor, and poured into jars for the kitchen to use. Visitors can observe the process and a few people can help with cranking the machine. Taste wax �cappings� � they are amazing treats! Free taste comparison of this year�s honey and the hotel�s 2012 Fall Fair first prize winner (just a tiny bit left). Rain or shine � this is an indoor event to be held in the hotel�s Orchard Room.

Jack Woodward, owner of the Harbour House Hotel and third generation beekeeper, will be the facilitator of this demonstration.
