This year’s theme is “Animal, Vegetable, Management” (because we know success on the farm comes down to good management- not miracles!). The conference workshops will be organized into these three streams:
-Animals/ livestock: including poultry, pork, and dairy
-Vegetable: including berries, soil management, and crop planning
-Management: including marketing, accounting, and land access
Also new this year is a designated workshop track for new farmers! A number of the workshops will be about getting started in various enterprises- we’ll highlight these as suggested workshops for our young agrarians!
Last, there will be ample time for networking with other farmers and checking out farm industry exhibits. The cost for the day is just $35. Lunch is included and will be prepared by the Island Chefs Collaborative (they always do a great job of making a delicious lunch using local ingredients!).
