Opening party is Saturday, March 2, 2:00-5:00pm.
On February 28, dozens of south island artists will come together to celebrate and raise money for the magical creatures that inhabit our island paradise. Fair Fauna: A Benefit for Wild ARC raises awareness and funds for the SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre, a neighboring nonprofit. The show will feature painting, photography, drawing and sculpture.
This show will remind art lovers of the importance to protect and be mindful of the wildlife that inhabit our local fields, forests and rivers.
Featured artists include: Ashley Bowes, Rachel Evans, Richard Wong and Charlotte Bell. This show will also feature a number of guest speakers. Kem Luther will be at the gallery March 16 at 1:30pm to discuss the biodiversity of Metchosin. Artist talks will continue into the afternoon.
