Drawing as Meditation

Simple line drawing is an excellent way to relax and focus, and consequently, a perfect way to develop a daily meditation practice.
In this workshop, you’ll learn close observation of natural forms and how to slow down and draw what you see. You will make stylized forms and patterns from nature through a process that is both meditative and creative. The workshop concludes with free painting with watercolour to music. All the methods help induce a state of “mindfulness”, the calm awareness of the present moment.
This workshop is for you if you are looking for a way to relax and experience the joy and focus that drawing can bring. No drawing experience necessary. Instructor: Wendy Welch Materials included
