Cowichan Consort Orchestra and Choir present Vaughn William's Dona Nobis Pacem choral work and Ravel's Bolero, plus Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture. This large work on war and peace, by the English composer Vaughn WIlliams is moving and appropriate for Nov.'s Remembrance Day just past.
Duncan Frater conducts in his last season with the Consort, after nine years with these two Cowichan musical groups. Formed in 1991, the Consort strives to foster young musicians and give a venue for amateur, semi-pro and retired professional musicians, choral and instrumental, to share this love of music -making with the community.
