The Dixieland Express is Canada's internationally-acclaimed traditional jazz band, specializing in high-energy, eclectic entertainment. Based in Victoria, BC, it was host band for the very popular TerrifVic Jazz Party, one of the most highly-rated jazz festivals in North America, for 21 years. Dixieland Express has appeared at numerous international jazz festivals including those in Sacramento, Monterey, Los Angeles, San Diego and Sun Valley. The group’s leader, Norrie MacFarlane, has performed for Pierre Trudeau, Brian Mulroney, Stephen Harper and Princess Margaret.
