Dan Quinn at Hecklers Bar and Grill
Friday, March 22nd, 2013
Dan Quinn was born in St. Paul Alberta, Canada and grew up on a farm. His entire school had 350 students, grade K-12. It sucked in the early years but as he got older he found it easy to pick on the little kids. Although a few times they did get the best of him. After graduation, like Superman he moved to the metropolis to study. Here the big city soon took hold of the small town boy and he discovered stand-up comedy.
After 1 year he won the funniest new comic in Edmonton. Soon thereafter he moved to Vancouver and was sucked in by the laid back west coast style. In 1999 he was invited to do the Canadian competition at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. He won first place and got his first break into Hollywood.
Since then Dan has been seen in his own one hour T.V. Special that aired on CTV and The Comedy Network. He has been featured a several comedy festivals including Vancouver in 2005 where he waas selected to perform at the Best of the Fest Show at the vogue Theatre next to great acts like Doug Stanhope and Scott Thompson. In February 2007 he went to the Hubcap comedy Festival in Moncton and was chosen Best of the Fest. He can be seen in an episode of tthe TV series the Collector and over a half dozen commercials.
He currently lives in Vancouver and tours across Canada, England and the U.S. His goal with his comedy is to be personal, relatable, edgy and always funny. He is fast becoming a must see comedian and has developed a cult following in Vancouver. A very small cult but still a cult.
