Pacific Opera Victoria presents Capriccio by Strauss. In German with English surtitles.

In Richard Strauss' final opera, The Countess Madeleine is torn between two lovers - a poet and a musician. The solution to her dilemma is to commission an opera - and she will decide how it ends. But in choosing one lover, she must lose the other. Poetry or music - which will prevail? CAPRICCIO features Erin Wall as The Countess with James Westman as The Count and Joshua Hopkins as Olivier. The production is directed by Robert McQueen and conducted by Timothy Vernon, with Set and Costume Design by Christina Poddubiuk.
