With a “fluid and pitch-perfect voice”, Bess Durey is on the forefront of a new generation of Canadian jazz singers. A graduate of the Capilano University Jazz Studies program, Bess is a singer who is also a great bandleader – a musician’s musician. Her band is made up of some of the brightest upand comers on the Canadian jazz scene: Amanda Tosoff on piano, Morgan Childs on drums, bassist Andre Lachance and Alvaro Rojas on guitar. Together they present a sophisticated new breed of original jazz.
