James Bay's festive winter market offers you local quality affordable creations, from decorative to functional: glass, cosmetics, toys, cards, soaps, knits, candles, wood, pottery and more. Entertainment for families 4-6:30pm, and music all day. Visit with spinners and learn how flax becomes linen. Take in a sculpture demonstration. Try out a simple craft with the small ones; young girls can make a cool string bracelet. Get your face painted! The Chicken Lady returns with her pet friends. Be sure to bring carry bags for free range eggs, local beef, winter vegetables, honey, smoked salmon, jams. Stock up on seasonal baking and special artisanal treats. Gift wrapping by the school PAC. In the community cafe, light nutritional fare and hot drinks will appeal. Make this an outing for the whole family, treat a senior to afternoon tea, shop late with friends or just stop by for a nosh on your way to or from the truck parade.
