Tuesday, January 22nd, 29th and Feb 5th from 10am to 12pm at the Home Instead Resource Centre located at 222-1595 McKenzie Ave.

More than 70,000 British Columbians are living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia, and within a generation the number of people diagnosed in our province is expected to more than double to 177,000.

Across Canada, 231 million hours a year are dedicated to providing informal care to loved ones living with this condition in Canada.

Developed by a team of the top Alzheimer’s experts in North America, the Alzheimer’s CARE Program incorporates an innovative, person-centered approach to help families deal with this condition.

We are inviting members of the local community and media to participate in the Alzheimer’s CAREGiver training sessions.

Participants in the education sessions will learn how to:
• Manage behaviors
• Encourage engagement
• Care for themselves while caring for their loved one
