Attention local food lovers! The Go Local Food Summit is your opportunity to find out what's growing on the West Shore.
People love the fine flavours of local food and increasingly, we are seeking out wholesome good eats fresh from the backyard, or within 100 miles of it. As a result, there are supply-side issues that need to be creatively addressed. We need people to step up to their own plate and grow for it!
The Go Local Food Summit features presentations on neighbourhood garden programs and farming apprenticeship opportunities.
Royal Roads University professor, Dr Richard Kool, will be the keynote speaker, addressing what it takes for a community to "Grow ahead of the curve."
Event attendance is free, but pre-registration is required.
The 3rd annual Go Local Food Summit is proudly presented by WestShore Harvest (a project of Capital Families) and Climate Action West Shore, WestShore Chamber of Commerce.
