Haven Society: Provides services to women, children, youth & familes who have experienced violence and are seeking support to recover from physical, sexual and psychological abuse. Haven's programs include providing shelter, emotional support, group and one-to-one counselling, advocacy, and most importantly a safe place to begin the healing from abuse.

Port Alberni Shelter Society: a non profit organization that works with people who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Every effort is made to accommodate people with emergency housing needs while maintaining a secure and stable environment for long-term supportive housing clients. Offering support to the victims of impaired drivers, working to keep traffic safety a public issue, providing education and finding effective solutions to prevent impaired driving while applying pressure to the courts for adequate sentencing of impaired drivers. Widowhood Beyond Survival: A support group for men and women under 65 years who are passed the first anniversary of the death of their life partner. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings of each month.
