Are you ready to Rock?
There's a lean and mean wheeled machine rolling into town. Get ready for it.
The Canadian Cancer Society Cops For Cancer are gearing up for the 2011 Tour de Rock. The team will cycle from one end of Vancouver Island to the other over 14 days and cover a distance of 1,000 kilometres.
Long days, gruelling hill climbs and an exhausting pace. Discouragement, mental exhaustion and physical pain. These are all challenges they will face. As do sick children. The ride is about overcoming adversity, and a symbol of hope and support for the many kids who are fighting cancer right now. The Tour team members are riding their bikes so that others can ride theirs, too.
Find out more about how to participate in some of the great community events along the route, and be there to cheer when the riders come through your area.
