A taste of things to come.
It's been said that the way we begin a journey sets the tone for the trip...and getting off to a good start is critical. So that means finishing off the sugar cookies and gingerbread says that you're willing to complete a project before moving on. Rolling out that last bit of dough tells people that you're resourceful and willing to make use of the materials at hand. Counting how many rum balls you have left and allocating a certain amount each day indicates that you're a great planner.
And promising to stay away from the cookie jar altogether makes you a wonderfully optimistic idealist.
Happy New Year.
