A single human hand is surprisingly powerful.
Did you know that a hand has at least 29 bones and 123 ligaments? That more than 25% of the brain's motor cortex is dedicated to operating the hands? That's a lot of energy. Doesn't it make good sense to give them tasks worthy of their incredible engineering?
This week is National Volunteer Week. All across Vancouver Island there are many talented people joining hands for the benefit of others, both locally and globally. You'll find some great opportunities to give them a hand HERE.
You might find that it makes your hands softer, too. Like RW Emersen said:
